14th Congress of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science

The 14th Congress of
Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science, a leading congress in its
field, will be held on July 19-26, 2011, in Nancy (France). The
Congress will feature more than 50 invited speakers, several plenary
symposia and lectures, as well as a general program for a wider
audience. For the first time in its history, the Congress presents a
special topic of interest that will be the focus of a series of
lectures and symposia: "Logic and Science Facing the New Technologies".
The four main sections of the Congress will be:
A. Logic
B. General Philosophy of Science
C. Methodological and Philosophical Issues of Particular Sciences
D.
Methodological and Philosophical Issues in Technology
Also for the first time, there will be a call for contributed symposia
in addition to the call for contributed papers. Both calls will be
issued on 1 June 2010, with 31 October 2010 being the submission deadline.

SILFS 2010
International Conference of the Italian Society for Logic and Philosophy of Sciences
Contributed papers are invited to the International Conference of the
SILFS (Società Italiana di Logica e Filosofia delle Scienze).
The conference will take place at University of Bergamo, Bergamo
(Italy), from 15-17 December 2010.
Papers are welcome in
any of the six different sections of the conference as follows:
1. Logic and Applications
2. Philosophy of Mathematical and Physical Sciences
3. Philosophy of Life Sciences and of Cognitive Sciences
4. Methodology and Philosophy of Science
5. Philosophy and Methodology of the Social Sciences
6. Epistemology and History of Sciences

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 30 May 2010
Notification of acceptance: 31 July 2010
Abstracts must not exceed 600 words, should start with the number and
title of the relevant section, followed by the title of the paper, the
author's name, address, and email address.

The European Philosophy of Science Association (EPSA)
will publish a new journal:
EUROPEAN JOURNAL FOR PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE (EJPS)
EJPS will appear three times a year, beginning in January 2011.
EJPS intends to publish first-rate research in all areas of philosophy of science, and now welcomes submissions via the on-line portal.
